Chaouzu was a prince that was supposed to be assassinated by Tienshinhan but instead became good friends with him. Chaouzu is about a 2 foot doll look alike. His skin is pure white and he has rosy cheeks. Chaouzu is not a really significant character and never does anything worth mentioning. His greatest achievement is probably making it to King Kai's through Snake Way. Name: Gohan

Gohan is the son of Gokou and Chi Chi. He shares many characteristics that Gokou does, and even becomes stronger than his father for a short period of time during the Cell Saga when he turns Super Saiyan 2. He is introduced when Gokou goes to a reunion to see Muten Roshi and Kuririn, which the party is crashed by Raditz. Before Vegeta and Nappa arrive he trains with Piccolo, and he also trains in the Room of Spirit and Time during the Android/Cell Saga. He also receives 2 power upgrades, one from Guru, the eldest Namek during the Freeza saga, that unleashed part of Gohans hidden potential, which made him stronger than Kuririn and Guldo, a member of the Ginyu Squad. The other power up was from Kaioshin which I beleive was in the Majin Buu saga. This released all of his hidden potential, allowing him to show his true Saiyan-Human strength. Dragon Ball Z is really "Gohan's story, but for some reason, Gokou is still the main character. He is also somewhat of a nerd, his mom makes him study all the time. He wears cool clothes has a neat haircut, but in GT you can sure tell that all that studing really does help, and he is like a rocket scientist.

Kuririn is a short bald monk who trains under Muten Roshi in his early years. This is where he meets Son Gokou, and the two become best friends for life. He is about as strong as Gohan up until where they fight the Ginyu Force. He gets a power upgrade from Guru, but doesn't have as much hidden potential as Gohan does, so Gohan in a sense gets a bigger power upgrade and becomes stronger. Kuririn never plays too big of a role in Dragon Ball Z/GT, but he does have his moments, such as hitting Vegeta with what was left of Gokous Sprit Bomb. Later on in DBZ he grows his hair out after not needing to keep it shaved because he is no longer a monk, and marries Artificial Human #18 and has a little girl, Marron. Name: Son Gokou/Kakarot

Son Gokou(Goku) is a pure hearted man whom would do anything for his friends. He is constantly striving to be better in every way. He even sacrifices himself after the il Shenlong battle so all his friends can be revived. Instead of destroying Dr. Gero before the androids were created, he chose to instead train for their arrival. He always has a positive attitude and always looks for a way to succeed, as when he teleported Cell to another planet seconds before Cell was to blow up Earth. Gokou is a Saiyan, and was sent to take Earth over when he was a child. However Gokou hit his head and forgot his mission, thus becoming a kind loving boy. Gokou's real name is Kakarot, and as a Saiyan he loves to fight. Overall Son Gokou is pure hearted, forgiving, and very understanding, as he let Vegeta live after their countless battles. Gokou trains with many people. Among the many are Muten(Master) Roshi, King Kai, and (most importantly)....himself. He really pushes himself to the limit while he trains in his spaceship on his way to Namek. He forces himself to train in 100 times normal gravity which is no ordinary feat. He is also the first man to turn Super Saiyan in about oh......a thousand years! While he is Super Saiyan his strength is greatly increased. His hair also turns gold and his eyes turqoise. On the other side, Gokou can be quite dense and makes a few of his own bluffs throughout Dragon Ball, where he tells his son before he dies, I quote, "Dont worry, you'll see me again when you die." Everyone breaks down crying. Admitting he can be a dumb ox sometimes, he also is very kind hearted and an all around great guy.

Muten Roshi..most likely the most important of the Z fighters not counting Gokou, Vegeta, Gohan and...well maybe not. He is a pervert, and one of the few DB characters you see constantly on the toilet. And do I mean CONSTANTLY! Well other than that, he teaches Gokou and Kuririn in the original DB, and he invents none other than the Kamehameha (aka the turtle shot) and it took him 30 years to master it. Well too bad that he just didn't tell Gokou to do it, because little ol' Son Gokou got it on his first attempt. Roshi is good friends with everyone, and lives in a pink house with Kame House written on it on an island in the middle of the ocean. Oh yeah, did I mention he lives with a talking turtle?

Vegeta is the prince of the planet Vegeta (aka Planet Plant before the Saiyans took it over) and the strongest Saiyan warrior for awhile in DBZ. He comes to Earth, searching for immortality. He is defeated by Earth's warriors, but even after he is let go by Kuririn and Gokou, he still seeks revenge and travels to Namek in search for the Dragon Balls there. However he learns over the series that good will always triumph over evil. And thats why Gokou was able to reach such strengths, as he was pure hearted. On Earth he raises a family with Bulma (the lucky bastard). He has 2 children, Trunks, a male, and Bra, a female. During the battle with Majin Buu, he realizes that he never gave his son Trunks the respect and attention he deserved, and this ends in a hug with his son. Vegeta is truly pure hearted, although he doesnt show it 99% of the time. He learns to love and care for his family over time, which makes him truly a very interesting character, and he plays one of the more significant roles throughout Dragon Ball Z and GT.

Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. He comes from a completely different storyline than the Z characters, i'll try to explain it as simple as i can. Once everyone returns from Namek and lives on Earth, Gokou contracts a heart disease and dies. Dr Gero creates the androids, and everyone is killed, because Gokou isnt there to help. Everyone except Gohan and Trunks. Gohan trains Trunks, but Gohan is killed in an encounter with the androids. So now, the only Z fighter alive is Trunks. He travels back in time under the encouragement of his mother, defeats Freeza while he's there, gives Gokou the cure to his heart disease that he will get, and then heads back to his own time. So now, gokou has the cure and he will live thru his disease. Everyone knows about the androids future arrival, and they all begin training. Trunks is born in this new timeline, etc etc. Trunks is good friends with Goten, and they are like brothers. They can fuse to become Gotenks.
Piccolo, just like Vegeta, started out evil but then switched to the side of good. He is the offspring of Piccolo Daimao. Daimao was a true enemy of Son Gokou, but was defeated by him in the original Dragon Ball. Before he died, Daimao spit out an egg, Piccolo. Piccolo was born to seek revenge. And he probably would have done a decent job of it, except Gokou's brother Raditz arrives on Earth, forcing Gokou and Piccolo to team up. From this point on they are allies, although Piccoloas doesn't take a liking to Gokou he does to Gohan. He really shows a lot of affection for Gohan throughout the series and truly shows it when he gives his life for little Gohan.. Name: Yamcha

Yamcha looks very similar to Gokou, except he has ratty hair. He also has a scar in the shape of an X on his cheek. He is stronger than Chaouzu but not as strong as Tien. He is inseparable from Bulma, well not really, he is a major flirt. He dates her in DB and DBZ but she dumps him because he always "takes other girls out." Yamcha is also into getting cruisers and new cars n' stuff, but most of the time they get blown up ^_^ He never plays too big of a role in any of the series, but he is good friends with Gokou. He is also good friends with Puar, a tiny blue cat like creature with a pea for a brain. Name: Kami

Kami is the guardian of Earth, and lives on Kami's tower with his odd looking assisstant, Mr. Popo. Kami never does anything all that important, other than convincing King Yama to let Gokou travel snake way. He competed with Garlic to be god of Earth, but Garlic turned out to be evil, and, obviously, Kami won. On a side note, he became the strongest Z warrior for a short time when he fused with Piccolo during the Android/Cell saga.

Goten is the second son of Gokou and looks almost exactly like him. He trains with Gohan for awhile, and greatly surprises Gohan when Goten turns Super Saiyan at 5 years of age. He can do this because Gokou turned Super Saiyan before Goten was born. He hangs out with Trunks, the son of Vegita, and the two are nearly inseperable. They're like brothers. During the Majin Buu saga, they learn a fusion technique, and become Gotenks. Goten isnt into fighting as much as Gokou is, and had to be forced to join the Tenchai Budukai by his father.

Puar follows Yamcha around and basically bugs everyone else. She is almost
similar to Oolong, but pervert. And Puar is able to shape shift, and keep that way as long as she wants unlike oolong who has to rest.

Tien is a tall, bald guy with three eyes, one in the center of his forehead. He invents many useful techniques throughout Dragon Ball, the most useful is probably being the Solar Flare, which is used to reflect sunlight but the sun must be out to use it. Tien's race is unknown for sure, but he looks just like a human, except for his third eye. He was once an assassin trained by one of Muten Roshi's arch enemy, and was out to kill Chaouzu, but he became best friends with him. Chaouzu and Tien met Gokou and the Z gang at a marial arts tournament, the Tenchai Budukai. Name: Android #13

Android #13 was created by Gero's computer in the future after the Dr. had died. They traveled back in time to destroy Goku. He later absorbs #14 and #15 and becomes Super #13, a giant blue mega robust Cyborg. He is later destroyed by Goku when the SSj absorbs his own Genki Dama.
Name: Yajirobe

Yajirobe is basically a weenie fighter that never does anything important .....basically ever. Hes really not the chicken that American DBZ makes him out to be, although he is a pig...and tries to eat Kuririn. OH....one event. He cut of Vegetas tail when he went Oozaru in the Saiyan/Vegeta saga. And he "claims" to be the leader of Earth's special forces. He is short and fat and weilds a sword, which he can surprisingly make good use of. Oh, and Yajirobe likes jelly donuts.

A big, muscular and strong Android, #14 comes from the future to kill Goku. #14 fights and eventually is defeated by Trunks.

#15 is a short, queer looking clown Android with a Red Ribbon bow tie who oftens pauses battle to take a swig from his scotch flask. He duels with Vegeta but is subsequently destroyed.
Name: Android #16

As an experiment, #16 was never meant to be activated due to the fact that he was too powerful. He was not made on a human base and is 100% mechanical. After being trashed by Cell, Bulma repaired and reprogrammed him to help fight against Perfect Cell. During the games, Cell crushed #16 head with his foot causing Gohan to erupt into SSJ2.

Developed to slay Goku, #17 rebelled against his creator. Built from a human base, #17 is not completely robot. He is absorbed by Cell but soon brought back by Shenlong. In GT Artificial Human #17 aborbed #17 resulting in Super Android #17 who is later killed by SSJ4 Goku.

#18 is another cyborg developed by Dr. Gero. During the Cell Saga Krillin fell in love with #18 and refused to shut #18 off. They eventually marry and have a daughter named Marron. She later enters the Budoukai for the prize money but is bribed by Mr. Satan for 1st place.

Not a very powerful Android, #19's only asset is the enery absorbers on his palms which allow him to sap an opponent's physical or ki attack. As Dr. Gero's bodyguard, #19 is easily destroyed by the great Super Saiyan Prince Vegeta.

After Son Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon army many years before, a surviving member - Doctor Gero worked on a way to avenge the destruction of the army. After years and years of hard work, he finally creates a powerful android and also decides to enhance his own body with cybergenic implants thus creating #20 (himself). After getting his ass kicked by Vegeta and Piccolo, Gero escapes back into his lab and manages to activate #17 and #18 before the Z Warriors arrived. But they rebelled and #17 easily kills #20.
Name: Babidi

Babidi's father was the one responsible for the creation of Buu. Many years after Buu is sealed away Babidi goes to Earth to retrieve energy from Vegeta, Gohan and Goku to revive Buu. After Buu comes he bosses him around a bit before Buu gets annoyed and kills Babidi. Although he has no fighting skills he knows the art of magic and is the only one who can reseal Buu. Another power of his is an Energy boost to anyone who becomes one of his forced mental slaves.
Name: Bardock
Race: Saiyan
Bio:
Bardock is the father of Goku and Raditz and is a very powerful fighter and thinker. When Frieza came to Vegeta to destroy the planet, Bardock was the only Saiyan who knew of his plot and was a 1 man army against the warlord. After fending off hundred of troops he comes face to face with Frieza, who effortlessly kills Bardock and Vegeta.
Name: Bebi
Race: Tsufuru jin
Bio:
Bebi is the last Tsufuru-jin, and being the lone survivor of his race he swears vengance on the Saiyans for what they did to his kind. He comes to Earth during DBGT and posseses Vegeta, transforming him. When Goku, Trunks and Pan return from their Grand Tour they find Bebi has enslaved all of mankind except for Satan and Buu. He is killed after a long struggle with Goku, in which we see the SSJ4 and Golden Oozaru form for the first time.

Scouring the countryside Buu spots a dog with a broken leg. After healing it he takes it to Satan and Bee becomes very attached to both of them.
Name: Bojack

Bio:
An alien who was imprisonned by the Kaios inside a uninhabited planet. After Kaiosama's death he is released and goes to Earth to seek vengence on Kaiosama's pupil. He interrupts in the finals of a fighting tournament and his henchmen easily dispose of Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks and Krillin. After smacking Gohan around a bit, Gohan goes SSJ2 and punches Bojack in the chest, killing him.

Being the daughter of Vegeta everyone expected her to be a fighter but she all but that. She follows her Mother around all the time, and feels very safe around her Father. Although she is born at the end of DBZ she plays little role in both series'.
Name: Brolli

Brolli was the most powerful Saiyan there was. So powerful that King Vegeta ordered Brolli & his father to be sent away to be exectued. They both escaped and hid away for many years. About 20 years later, Brolli begins to rampage arounf the universe, destroying worlds one by one. To prevent any suspicion, Brolli's father Paragus seeks the help of the Z Warriors to find out whos destroying all those worlds. When Brolli arrives he recognises Goku (Brolli's birth crib was right beside Goku's and because of his constant crying, Brolli has developed a huge hatred for Goku) and goes berserk and USSJ. After Goku kills Brolli he comes back again and this time on Earth 10 years later and he gets killed again by Gohan, Goku and Goten. He comes back again but this time is a clone made by one of Satan's rivals

Bio:
Bulma was the first person introducted in Dragonball, and she seemed like a nuisance back then. Now she is a much better character and is married to Vegeta (they have a son, Trunks and a daughter, Bra) and she is constantly changing her hair style. She re-builds Android 16, invents the Dragon Radar, and builds many other machines and is known to the gang as a genius. Bulma also makes the time machine to allow future Trunks to go back in time, and builds the mechanism that can destroy Android 18 at the touch of a button.

A member of the infamous Ginyu Force, Burter is a powerful and very fast fighter, usually teaming with Jeice to perform Energy Techniques and Poses. He is quickly KOed by Goku and later killed by Vegeta.

Buu is an alien created my the evil magician Bibidi to kill the Kaioshins. After killing 3 of the Kaioshins and and absorbing countless billions East Kaioshin is finally able to kill Bibidi and trap Buu inside an egg and send him to Earth. After a few hundred years Bibidi's son Babidi comes to Earth and revives Buu with Vegetas energy. He absorbs many fighters and transforms every time. After all the peeps was taken out of his body by Vegetto he was restored to his original state and was later killed by Gokus mega Genki Dama. The good part of Buu (the Kaioshins) was left as one Buu and becomes Mr. Satan's friend and a Z fighter. Name: Cell

After gathering the cells of most of the greatest fighters of the universe, Dr. Gero inputted them into his computer to create the ultimate android. This process was taking far too long so he let his computer generate his greaet android. After many years, even after Gero had died, his computer had finally completed the android and named it CELL and told it that to become perfect he must absorb both #17 and #18. Since Trunks had already killed them, Cell travelled back in time to find them. After absorbing them and countless humans, Cell finally becomes perfect and holds a Tournament, his CELL GAMES where he must fight all the world's most powerful fighters. After enraging Gohan into SSj2, Cell is quickly and easily killed, but subsequently taking Goku with him.

Wife of Son Goku, mother of Gohan and daughter of the Ox King, Chi Chi is a very short tempered woman who is always overly protective of her Gohan and his studies. During DB she is sortof powerful but stops fighting when she marries Goku. No matter what happens Chi Chi is always worried about her family and always overpowers her family (and Vegeta and Piccolo ^_-) with her anger...

After Frieza is blown up by the Planet Namek, his/her(:P) father recovers his remains and rebuilds Frieza to a stronger fighter and takes him to Earth to seek revenge. Upon arrival, they are greeted by Trunks who quickly and effortlessly destroys the both of them and their troops.

Bio:
Coola is the brother of Frieza who arrives on Earth to seek revenge for the death of his brother and father. After fighting Goku for a bit, he transforms and starts to beat on the mighty Saiyan. After killing a little bird, Goku roars up and transforms into a Super Saiyan and easily overpowers Coola's Death Ball with a giant Kamehameha and drives him into the Sun. After merging with the Big Ghetti Star, Coola makes many metal copies of himself and tries to drain the power of Planet Namek and Goku and Vegeta but the power of the SSj is overwhelming and he overloads and blows up.

Bio:
Dabura is Babidi's main Henchman and like all of Babi's minions, has strong magical powers and is very ruthless in battle. Dabura can turn people to stone with his spit (which he inflicted on Piccolo and Krillin). He was not very impressed after seeing Buu for the first time and attempts to kill him but at no prevail and is swiftly killed by Buu, returning Piccolo and Krillin to their former selves.
Name: Dai Kaio (Grand Kai)

The head of all Kaios, Dai Kaio's main job is to overlook the other gods and to judge the Grand Tournament of the Afterworld. When he is not at his throne he is marching around with his Stereo playing loud Rock music and wandering around the Afterworld. Although he is the highest Kaio he cannot fight for peanuts.
Name: Dende

Dende was rescued from Frieza by Gohan and Krillin after the evil space villain had executed all Dende's fellow Villagers. He has the ability to heal a fighter which was very useful against the battle against Frieza, but when he transformed into his Ultimate form, his first task was to launch a Ki blast at the little Namek boy, killing him. After Kami and Piccolo fuse back into one, Goku fetches Dende to become the new Kami and even create a new set of Dragonballs.
Name: Dodoria

Being one of Frieza's head Bodyguards, Dodoria is fairly powerful and pretty dumb. Dodoria is a fat pink fighter who likes to bully henchmen around and show no mercy to his victims. Dodoria was the one who killed Bardock's teammates and heavily wound the Saiyan before Frieza destroyed the planet. He is easily disposed of on Namek by the all mighty Vegeta.

This god loves to race on her jet bike, and even challenges Goku to a race. Although she is a Kaio and has students, they aren't very strong or well trained.
Name: East Kaioshin

Bio:
East Kaioshin is the last surviving Kaioshin after the wrath of the all might Buu. Many centuries after he killed Bibidi and sealed Buu away, he comes to Earth to prevent Bibidi's son Babidi from resurrecting Buu. On Kaioshin Kai, Kaioshin fuses with his assistant Kibit to show Goku and Gohan the Potara Earing Fusion. After the evil Buu is killed he still keeps in touch with the Z warriors via Telepathy and Teleportation.

Hildegarn is a giant monster who was cut in half trapped inside 2 ocranas by Tapion and his brother. Hildegarn is released by an evil magician and begins to terrorise the Eastern Capitol. Despite the Z Warriors attemps they cannot lay a hand on Hildegarn until Goku goes SSj3 and launches a Chou RyuuKen at Hildegarn, killing hin.
Name: Oolong

You know, I was very tempted to list Oolongs race as "fata*s" Anyways, Oolong is a shapeshifting pig, and part coward part porno obsessive, like Muten Roshi. He is introduced in early Dragon Ball as a monster terrorizing a village, but then Gokou stops him, and learns hes just a cowardly pig. Not much else to say about Oolong, except he is very annoying.
Name:Radditz
Race:Saiyan

Radditz comes to Earth, searching for his brother, Gokou to see if he carried out his mission of destroying the Earth. He has long hair that goes down to about his knees. He is much stronger than Gokou in the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, but Gokou finds an unlikely ally in Piccolo and together they manage to take Radditz down, thanks to the help of Piccolo's new attack, the Makkansosappo, and Gohan, whom delivers a blow to Radditz's stomach, weakening him enough for Gokou to hold him while Piccolo blasts him, but Gokou goes with Radditz as they both get killed by his move. Radditz never really was important, however he started out almost the Vegita and Frieza saga by telling Vegeta there were Dragon Balls through his scouter.
